The long term objectives of our organization programs are to enhance food security, sustainable agriculture development and environmental conservation by building capacities of both rural and urban farmer communities through training and advocacy programs throughout Somaliland regions.

The sustainability of agriculture in the Somaliland rural areas cannot be isolated from the sustainability of development in the other sectors, region and beyond. While agriculture is one of the important components of sustainable development, other land uses and sectors of the economy have an equally important role to play.

A sustainable agriculture is both a philosophy and a system of farming. It is rooted in a set of values that reflects an awareness of both ecological and social realities and a commitment to respond appropriately to that awareness. It emphasizes design and management procedures that work with natural processes to conserve all resources and minimize waste and environmental damage, while maintaining and improving farm profitability. The development of agriculture is crucial for creating employment and income opportunities as well as enhancing the quality and supply of farm products.
